Condensed Water Test Climates
DIN 50 017-KK
Test specimens are placed in an enclosed chamber, in which a climate is created that comprises of a heated, saturated mixture of air and water vapour, at a temperature of +40C and a relative humidity of 100%RH.This climate is maintained under constant steady state conditions. The test duration is variable.

Verification of the corrosion behaviour of surface coatings and of adhesive bonds.
AA-0224 (AA-P 175) is a 7 day cyclic corrosion test (CCT) comprising of the following steps:
Monday: Start of the cycle 24 hours salt spray according to AA-0324.
Tuesday to Friday: 08.00 to 16.00 hrs condense water constant climate at 40°C according to AA-0213.
From 16.00 until 08.00 hrs regeneration at room temperature (opened chamber or ventilated chamber)
Saturday to Sunday: Regeneration at room temperature (opened chamber or ventilated chamber)
Condensation Water Constant Atmosphere Test
This test serves to evaluate the resistance of automotive coatings and painted hang-on parts to high humidity. Test specimens are placed in an enclosed chamber and exposed to constant conditions of +40°C and constant condensation humidity level of c.100% RH.
In all other respects this test is based upon DIN EN ISO 6270-2 KK.
