EU Directives

EU Compliance for Corrosion Test Chambers | Ascott

At Ascott, we are fully committed to ensuring that our corrosion test chambers meet all applicable EU Directives. Our equipment complies with the latest regulations to guarantee safety, environmental responsibility, and quality for manufacturers across Europe.

RoHS Compliance for Corrosion Test Chambers

The Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive limits harmful substances such as lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, PBB, and PBDE in electrical and electronic equipment. Since July 1, 2006, all products placed on the EU market must meet these strict limits.

Ascott corrosion testing equipment fully complies with RoHS requirements, ensuring our products are environmentally safe and sustainable. For more information or specific compliance documentation, please contact us.

WEEE Directive & Ascott Corrosion Testing Equipment

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive aims to reduce electronic waste by promoting reuse, recycling, and responsible disposal. As a producer, Ascott takes responsibility for financing the collection and treatment of waste equipment.

All Ascott corrosion test chambers comply with the WEEE Directive and carry the internationally recognized crossed-out wheelie bin symbol. We also offer refurbishing and recycling programs—if you have an old Ascott chamber, contact us to arrange a return or inquire about refurbished units.

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Compliance

The EMC Directive ensures that electrical and electronic apparatus do not emit or fall victim to electromagnetic interference, allowing all equipment to operate as intended within the European Economic Area.

Ascott equipment meets all EMC requirements, and each product is CE marked with a certificate of conformity. This guarantees reliable performance and trade compliance.

Low Voltage Directive (LVD) Compliance

The Low Voltage Directive (LVD) covers electrical safety for equipment operating within specified voltage limits. It ensures a high level of protection for users and safe electrical design.

All Ascott corrosion test chambers are fully compliant with the LVD, carry the CE mark, and come with conformity certificates to reassure customers of our commitment to quality and safety.
